 S-O-C-I-A-L is an 8 week social skills development group for elementary age boys and girls.

Using the evidence-based program, Second Step, children will learn positive social-emotional development.

A variety of games, videos and interactive lessons are use making the learning dynamic and fun.

Children will learn to:
  • Make Friends
  • Regulate Difficult Emotions
  • Be Empathetic
  • Resolve Conflict
Jenna Horowitz, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a particular understanding of elementary age children. Ms. Horowitz is an experienced facilitator of the Second Step program, implementing it in both clinical and school settings.

Second Step has been shown to improve a child's ability to empathize with others and solve problems using the skills they learned.

SFCS Children's Groups

Our eight-week social skills program for boys and girls ages 6-10 years old uses the nationally acclaimed evidence-based program Second Step.

Through discussions, videos, interactive activities and games, we teach different social skill elements, which are reinforced through a series of parent workshops.
