SFCS Adult Services

SFCS Adult Services consist of two areas of focus.

At Home in Scarsdale Village is a local aging in place initiative with social and cultural opportunities to remain connected to others. The SFCS van provides transportation to medical appointments and errands. A list of vetted home services is also available to members.

The Older Adult Service is a partnership of Scarsdale Village and SFCS offering emotional support, in home counseling, care management, and future planning for older adults and their families.

VITAL AGING:

The process of aging in the 21st century has been transformed as the average life span increases and baby-boomers consider aging a positive life-stage transition. No longer are retirement and loneliness the benchmarks of aging. All of us will live longer and better lives as vital people with much to offer society. Scarsdale § Edgemont Counseling Service’s “Vital Aging” Series offers a monthly seminar to promote a holistic perspective on aging, health, and wellness. Speakers and discussions focus on the inter-relationship of mind and body. Workshops are open to older adults and their friends and are held at the Scarsdale Woman’s Club, 37 Drake Road Scarsdale.
