Mona Longman

Mona joined SFCS in February of 2020 as the Staff Accountant.  Mona is responsible for all aspects of the agency's accounting services and financial management and reporting.  

Mona’s relationship with SFCS began more than 20 years ago when she was the parent of three children in the Scarsdale school system and she a participant in the parent support groups.  Mona appreciated the service being provided by the agency and  she benefited from the support and exchange of information and ideas the groups offered to parents.  Her groups were led by the talented Youth Outreach staff, some of which remain at SFCS today. She is pleased to now be a part of the organization's staff.  

Mona began her career in finance after receiving an MBA from New York University.  She worked for 15 years for a private investor, assisting him with his investments in various areas of the financial markets.  While working, she furthered her education with analysis and trading courses at the New York Institute of Finance.  She took a break from her professional career while raising her children but is still an active stock and options trader. 

During her 26 years in Scarsdale, Mona was an active PTA and civic volunteer.  She currently serves on the board of Friends of the Scarsdale Library and also serves as the Board's Treasurer.
