Vital Aging Seminars

Many older adults prefer to “age in place” within their communities and do NOT want to move from their  residence to obtain the supportive services required to address their changing needs.  In an effort to assist seniors manage independently and at peak levels of performance, SFCS'  Vital Aging seminars are offered regularly.  These complimentary workshops are offered in collaboration with the Scarsdale Recreation Department and are open to all Scarsdale senior residents.  Topics are varied, but include subjects such as brain boosting nutrition, cognitive fitness, fall prevention, relationship management, long-term planning and Medicare.

Workshops are typically held at the Scarsdale Girl Scout House on Wayside Lane, however they are currently being held virtually.

Annual Vital Aging Fair
The Vital Aging Fair has become an annual event here in Scarsdale.  Originated in 2016, the Vital Aging Fair hosts a variety of senior providers and vendors under one roof.  Providers offer consultation, product sampling and service offerings.  This complimentary event typically occurs in the fall at a local venue.
