Stephanie Blackwell, LMSW, CASAC-T

Stephanie Blackwell, LMSW, CASAC-T has joined the Youth Services Project at the high school level. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Stephanie has experience supporting adolescents, adults, families, and couples through a variety of needs.

 Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the human services field, supporting, advocating, and serving members of the community. She brings a diverse background of experience to the practice including working with trauma survivors from adolescents to adults. Stephanie has worked with women and children navigating the crisis of homelessness, unaccompanied minors crossing U.S borders in search of a better life, and most recently adolescents in the juvenile justice system. Stephanie also has experience as a Psychotherapist in private practice where she focuses on helping clients navigate and overcome challenges related to depression, anxiety, substance use, self-esteem challenges, grief/loss, domestic violence, and traumatic experiences. In this work with clients, Stephanie combines a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths Based Perspective, Mindfulness, Person- Centered, Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused, Narrative Therapy, and Crisis Intervention all while including cultural humility in her work.

Stephanie’s social work education journey began after obtaining her associate degree in human services from SUNY Westchester Community College. Following, she completed a Bachelor of Social Work from Molloy University and obtained her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Stephanie also received a Specialized Certificate in Crisis and Resilience and her CASAC-T Certification. She also completed a Post Master’s Certificate in Trauma-Informed Clinical Practice from NYU.

Millie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton and her Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
