Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the second longest serving member of the SFCS staff. Emily joined SFCS in August of 2000, hired originally as a Youth Outreach Workers serving middle school age youth and families. Prior to joining the staff, she worked for the Archdiocese Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program. Throughout her tenure, Emily has helped facilitate a growing network of parent support groups, served as the founder of the Young Women in Leadership program and has had a role in various community groups. In 2014, Emily was appointed as the SFCS Director of Community Services and joined the Family Counseling Staff. Emily serves as liaison to the Advisory Council on Youth, the Scarsdale PTC, the Teen Center, and her new role of Coordinator of the Scarsdale Task Force on Drugs and Alcohol.
Emily received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The George Washington University and went on to pursue her Master’s in Social Work from New York University. Emily recently completed an intensive training program on understanding and treating the impact of divorce upon children and families.
