Amy Smith, LCSW

Amy Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who initially began her career with SFCS as  Youth Outreach Worker in 2000, then rejoined the Staff in 2007 as an Adjunct Parent Group Facilitator and in 2014 was appointed as the Chair of the agency's Performance Quality Improvement Committee.

Amy was originally hired by SFCS in 2000 as a Youth Outreach Worker on the middle school level and as the facilitator of the TALKABOUT social skills group. Amy departed SFCS in 2002 to pursue school based social work where she provided counseling to middle school students and their families and served as the Chairperson of the school's CSE and 504 Meetings. 

She currently facilitates middle school age parent support groups and “Beyond the Basics”  parent support group for parents of elementary age children with special needs. 
 
Amy received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies. She received her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Additionally, she obtained a Post Master's Certificate in Social Work Administration from Hunter College in 2005.
