Shirley Azoulai is a Licensed Master’s of Social Work. Shirley joined SFCS as a staff member of the Family Counseling Department in March of 2017. Shirley has worked with families and individuals in numerous settings and has specialized skills working with children diagnosed with Spectrum Disorders and their families as well as individuals and their families dealing with new diagnoses of cancer. Over the years, Shirley has provided guidance and counseling to individuals and families coping with mental illness, substance abuse, anxiety and depression, as well as developmental and health related issues.
Shirley received her undergraduate degree in Psychology/English from Columbia University and her Master’s In Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work. Shirley continues to enhance her treatment capabilities with advanced education in Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
